Privacy notice

This notice explains what information Check Agents (operated by Check Agents UK) collects when you use checkagentsuk.com and what we do with it. We keep this deliberately plain.

What we collect and why

If you request a valuation, we collect your name, phone number, email address, property address and moving timeframe. We collect these for one purpose: to pass them to a small number of top performing estate or letting agents in your area, chosen from our rankings, so they can contact you about a free valuation. This is the service you are requesting when you submit the form.

If you only search, we do not collect personal information. Searches you choose to save are stored on your own device and never sent to us. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operations.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not sell your details to anyone other than passing your valuation request to the agents described above. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

Legal basis and retention

We process valuation requests on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating the service. We keep valuation requests for up to 12 months, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at admin@checkagentsuk.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Property data

Rankings and property information shown on this site are derived from licensed third party market data and public records. They relate to properties and businesses, not to individuals' personal data.
